Latest CLC report highlights The Pallet LOOP as sustainable solution enabling change across UK construction

The Pallet LOOP features as a case study in the latest Construction Leadership Council (CLC) CO₂nstruct Zero (CZ) report – which was published at an event in Westminster yesterday morning, hosted by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS). The 4^th CZ report shows CZ’s progress since it launched at COP26 last year, recognising the many innovative initiatives that are helping to improve sustainability across the sector.

CO₂nstruct Zero is the construction industry’s zero carbon change programme. Aligned with the Government’s overarching plan to deliver net zero by 2050, the programme has nine priorities including:

Optimising the use of modern methods of construction and improving onsite logistics to reduce waste and transport to sites
Becoming world leaders in designing out carbon, developing the capability of our designers and construction professionals to design in line with a circular economy – shifting commercial models to reward measurable carbon reductions
Supporting the development of innovative low carbon materials and advancing low carbon solutions for manufacturing production processes and distribution.

The CO₂nstruct Zero network has grown rapidly over the last twelve months, with more than 200 organisations – including The Pallet LOOP – now established as CO₂nstruct Zero Business Champions and Partners.
